The top feels tight but the shorts themselves are so comfy and stretchy. I still like them a lot though they are a bit tight on top-- no pulling up constantlyI wasn’t at all sure about ordering something as fitted as denim shorts. I’ve enjoyed been a retail executive for over 20 years for companies like Macy’s, Saks, and Michael Kors, so my fashion expectations are high to say the least. But I am so loving these! I sized up because of how I like things to fit my shape and I’m very glad I did. Even though these have great stretch I am a strong believer that nothing is flattering when it’s too small, regardless of how small you are. They are comfy and soft. Denim shorts are often unforgiving and these are breaking all the rules that I knew about denim. Sizing them like I did gives them a relaxed boyfriend look and is exactly what I was going for. I plan to style them with a feminine boho top to really tie the look together. Style with a chunky sweater and boots for a great fall or winter look here in Florida. Thank you for these great shorts, I will be ordering more!These shorts were nice and they did have stretch to them but they were so very short. I'm 5'3" & 122lbs and the small fit nicely. If you like shorts short then I'd say these would work for you!Fits and looks great. Good purchase!The size chart was spot on when I ordered. They have enough stretch that when you sit, it doesn’t cut your belt in half. They do not ride up when walking and are extremely soft and comfortable. Mine have been washed several times and hold up very well. Definitely will but again.I don’t write reviews but I had to for these shorts. I have gained a bit of weight around my midsection and all my denim is so uncomfortable to wear because it cuts when I sit. I bought these in a medium and they fit just right! They are kinda thin but very stylish and flattering and best of all- no muffin top! They have a slight bit of room in them so I put that they ran slightly large but I feel like a small would have been too tight on me even with the extra stretch it has. They didn’t shrink in the wash either (which I thought might help). But overall I’m super happy with these and plan to buy a couple more!I LOVE these shorts!! They are light weight and very comfortable. I am ordering more in the other colors.I’m 5’1 & 157lbs and I got a size large and these fit great ! If you like yours more snug I would say go w medium bc these have a lot of stretch too them.. my only complaint is that the product image of these looked darker.. I was definitely expecting a darker colored pair.
