This is the second pair of compression shorts I've owned. I was hoping this pair would fit just a bit more snugly than my first pair. As it is, they seem about the same. Still, they seemed to give the amount of support I need while hiking. That's right, hiking. I am not in training for a triathlon. No, that's not my thing, not by a long shot.However, hiking is my thing, but my hip and knee joints give me trouble on long hikes. Compression shorts, knee braces, and proper hiking boots alleviate that trouble considerably. I recently went on a 7 mile hike wearing these compression shorts as well as my other hiking 'support' gear and I had no joint pain at all. I call that a win.Quality of material is really nice and the design is attractive, but unfortunately, these do not fit well. Beware the term "compression." They are a Medium but really too small for me to wear (I'm 5' 6" and a size 6). They cut in too much on the legs. They leave red marks around my thigh, and when my muscle flexes while I bike ride, it actually cuts off circulation a little. It's not a good "compression," it's like they made the leg holes too tiny. I won't buy these again. A shame because if they were made to fit better, they'd be pretty cool, nice quality bike shorts.I usually wear a small but got a medium because I know 2xu tends to run a little tight. I use these shorts mainly for the bike portion of my triathlon training and I like that the padding is sufficient but not bulky. These shorts are great quality like all 2xu products and I am very happy with my purchaseThese compression shorts are the best for running! They are extremely comfortable you do not feel like you are wearing compression shorts.They do not move so no need for adjustments while in the middle of training. The shorts have back pockets but have no zipper. I use a runners belt so can not comment on the pockets.These shorts are great for shorter tris (Olympics/sprints) and for Spin class. The chamois is sturdy and comfortable. Leg grips stay put.The shorts fit well In the bode but the elastic band on the légs. Seems to be very tight for a Nice fitting
