I bought these to work out in and they're almost perfect! Run TTS, imo. I bought a M which fits well and is comfy; not super compressive but they stay on well. They do ride up a bit when I'm doing actual workouts. If you have big thighs, the leg opening may cut in a bit but I just kind of stretched mine out and they're fine. Fabric is soft but durable and thick. I bought the dark teal color and sweat doesn't seem to show through even when I'm v sweaty so that's nice. Pockets are great.HOWEVER. My one complaint about these is that they don't have a center seam from the waistband to the crotch area. I know this is the "style" right now, to have these seamless leggings/shorts (think Gymshark), but I think the seamless look just draws a lot of attention to the *bits* and is just weirdly unflattering. I didn't notice the lack of center seam before I bought them but due to this factor alone I will not be buying them again. If you don't mind the seamless crotch situation, then these are a great low-cost bike short that looks cute at the gym and with an athleisure outfit! The metallic print was really cool but ended up fading really fast very disappointedI wear a 10 in pants and am usually a medium in bottoms sometimes a large if I want it comfy. I ordered a large in this bc I saw a few reviews say size up, and I think an XL would have been perfect! I have thick thighs and these kinda squeeze my thighs, making my legs look even chubbier lol (pictured) I expected them to be a little stretchier, but the compression is good I suppose. Overall, I like these and would probably order again in an XL next time!I absolutely love these shorts! I have them in two colors! I have big legs and it’s hard to find shorts that aren’t too tight on my thighs but these are great! They are not see thru! They’re squat proof and lunge proof! Very comfortable and I will be getting more!I ordered the XL 8" black and 5" black. I figured they would both be the same in terms of material/fabric/feel. Unfortunately, they were not. I absolutely LOVE the fabric and feel of the 5". They are softer and feel more like cotton whereas the 8" feel more like polyester and has that sheen that also snags on things. Also, the 5" rise is higher and stays up no matter how much bending, squatting, sitting, standing I do unlike the 8" waistband that is high but rolls down. I am constantly hiking those up. I would definitely order the 5" shorts again (in fact, I ordered in a different color) and ordered the 8" in another color, too, hoping that those will stay up and feel more like cotton than polyester. Overall, great shorts for hanging about, doing yardwork, sleeping, and even swimming.5’5, 155lbs, 42 years old, mother of three, ordered a medium. They don’t ride up, the pocket fits my phone perfectly, they’re very comfortable and stretchy. I love the thigh length and the high waist. There is a seam that goes straight down the center of the shorts that will seriously accentuate camel toe and fupa if you have one! Just know this. My husband loves them! I’ll keep these for indoor workouts unless I’m feeling frisky lolI managed to hit a sale at the right time for these shorts and only paid $10. They are definitely a steal at that price. The shorts were comfortable, fit well, and lasted through a 10 mile Tough Mudder without even a snag. They stayed put for the whole race - the waist didn't bag down, and the shorts didn't ride up. I would absolutely order another pair, even for more than $10! If they can handle a Tough Mudder, they can handle other workouts. Not sheer at all, even when squatting. My only nit-picky comments would be that I would have liked the fabric to be a little softer, but they were still totally comfortable. I usually wear a medium and was surprised that these were not as tight on me as I would have liked/expected, but again I had no problem with the waist or legs so it wasn't a big deal.I have been very frustrated in recent years trying to find a good pair of compression shorts for under soccer shorts. For a while, I felt like I could only find bermuda length shorts or ones so short that they were just a second pair of underwear. Or, worse yet, pairs that seemed like the perfect length but then would just roll up into the aforementioned secondary undergarments. These are perfect! I have worn them running a few times now. They are long enough to prevent the dreaded chub rub on the inner thighs and they actually stay in place without having to constantly yank them back down. They are thin enough to comfortably wear under soccer shorts but thick enough if you want to wear them by themselves. And the pockets are clutch! The only potential con is that, having gotten the maroon color, they definitely show sweat. Since I usually wear them under shorts or I am just too sweaty anyway, it is not a concern for me. If it is for you, I'd get the black. Enjoy!I bought a few pairs of these types of shorts from different places and I think it's the pockets being in the wrong place that makes my hips look wider, and too tight on the thigh. I am a cyclist and have thicker thighs but I didn't have a problem with other biker shorts. I'm 57 and a 132 pounds, I got a small and I'm glad I got a small instead of a medium but these will be a workout at home/pyjama shorts. The colour isn't very nice eitheras described
