PEARL IZUMI Men's Cycling Shorts - Breathable Running & Biking Shorts for Men with Pockets | Perfect for Road Cycling, Mountain Biking & Gym Workouts

I had purchased these at the end of July in 2019. I gave these a shot; because the model of my old Endura shorts were no longer being manufactured. The replacement for those were awful.As it turned out I never did use either pair of my Peal Izumi shorts on my mountain bike. I just used those shorts for shorts. The problem right out of the box was the company decided to use fabric that I would expect it also would be found in little girls party gowns. There is no way that if you take a dump on your bike that is going to survive one fall in a rock garden. The other problem that I discovered is instead of having straps that you can adjust for your waist band. They decided to put in an elastic waist band. Personally, I did not use those shorts all that much over the summer since it is now the beginning of November. At this point the elastic has basically failed in both of the shorts. For $135 or so that’s totally unacceptable. I can assure you my old Endura shorts went through the mill and still work today and they are 10 years old. Please clue in Pearl Izumi. Can you do better please?
