I purchased these shorts. 3 times. That's not to say that they don't last. They do. I am relatively tough on products, so I'm okay with that.I bought the first set for my first year of triathlon, and didn't realize that you shouldn't wear these as your dedicated swim trunks when you're training in the pool. So, for 12 months, I wore these biking as well as swimming. As most of you will know, that caused the color to fade and the fabric to degrade such that it wasn't really stretchy. Again, my fault, not the shorts'. During that year, I never did they chafe or not provide proper support, at least, until the end when I finally retired them. They don't diaper in the water, and they don't shimmy down. The chamois stays close, it dries quickly when you get on the bike, and when you're on the run portion of the triathlon, you hardly even notice it.I bought the second for my second year of triathlon, as well as a dedicated Speedo for pool workouts. During the second year, these shorts lasted MUCH better, due mostly to not using them for pool workouts. They performed flawlessly for 6 triathlons and 12 months of training. Honestly, these are comfortable enough for me that I do not see the need for a separate set of cycling specific shorts.I bought the third set when the price came down, so that I can use them in future when my current pair gives up the ghost. But currently, my last pair is in very good condition. My sizing information: 34" waist, 195lbs, 6'4", 36" inseam, 25" circumference thighs. These shorts come down just past midway on my thighs, and don't squeeze too much.I used this product for a couple years until I lost weight and didn't fit in them anymore. The one thing I wish was better about them is the chlorine resistance. After a 4-6 months of swimming in a chlorinated pool 1-2 times a week it was no longer black, but an ugly brown color (because of bleaching). I was embarrassed to wear it but still did because I didn't want to spend money. I do have to give them credit for not becoming transparent or sagging (I attribute any sagging to my weight loss). I used these for biking and swimming the first year and they were pretty comfortable. These are in my opinion the perfect triathlon shorts for running. I wanted something with a back pocket that would fit an iPhone 7 and these will (any phone will fit comfortably). Two hip pockets will fit 2 e-gels each. Length is perfect. Sizing is perfect. There is zero slipping/riding. And, maybe best of all, the bike padding is perfect. Not too much, not too little. Unnoticeable when running. It's a crying shame if these really have been discontinued. These shorts gave me absolutely zero issues during my 70.3 race. Once on I never noticed them again! The one thing I did notice was how comfortable they were while I was tucked in the aero position. There was no seam in the "wrong" place to contend with and no adjusting whatsoever transitioning from the swim (with wetsuit) to the bike and from the bike to the run. I would highly recommend these shorts. These are my go to race shorts.Trained all summer with these and just completed my first Ironman in them and they worked flawlessly. Very high quality and durable material. Padding is minimal compared to normal cycling shorts, but that's because these are made specifically for triathlons and you are expected to swim, bike and run in them back to back - so that being said, the amount of padding is good and I had no issues with rubbing. Highly recommend giving these a shot.comfy n material quality was good.only issue was that the back waist line is a bit too high n usually gathers material at back. These shorts are very comfortable and durable. However, they are a little tight and short. These were great for my first Olympic distance triathlon. No rubbing or chaffing. I would order one size up if you are anywhere near the edge. I decided to exchange my large for an XL and was happy I did. If you are anywhere near 6' and 200+lbs the extra large is the way to go for sure.Size charts online are completely misleading. I would buy from a short or chose a brand with a size chart.
